After the bus tour we were dying of heat so decided to cool off a bit at the Twelve Thirty Club, an upscale and newer honky tonk with some good live music and deliciously cold beer and wine. After cooling down almost enough we shared a few scoops from Jeni's ice cream next door {delicious} then decided it wouldn't be too far to walk to the Gulch and see the neighborhood {including Taylor Swift's condo}. While it wasn't far, it was about 95 degrees plus humidity so once we got to the neighborhood {and after taking the infamous wings picture} we immediately had to duck into a Lululemon store to take advantage of their air conditioning. Luckily, the last tour bus of the day {that we had already paid for} was coming by in a few short minutes so we were able to hop on to get back to downtown and not have to trek back in the heat. After a quick jaunt through Printer's Alley right behind where we were staying, we headed back to the hotel to freshen up, then walked back to Broadway for a beer on the rooftop of our fave from the night before, Acme Feed & Seed {it has shade and views, which is exactly what we were looking for}. After properly hydrating we headed over to the Pedestrian Bridge, famous for country music videos and album covers, and took in the views of the city from a different angle. By this time we were pretty starving so we walked to the Broadway location of Hattie B's, a famous Nashville Hot Chicken stop that did not disappoint at all. While I only got "mild" heat, the chicken was absolutely delicious and paired with mac & cheese and a cold beer, it was the perfect fuel for our last night out on the town.
