Three Years

I can't believe it's already been three years since this cutie asked me to spend forever with him.  Easiest "yes" ever!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday from this clingy {but cute} psychopath who found that if she sleeps at the bottom of the stairs she can keep tabs on any movement from both of our home offices.  It's been an adjustment having a dog in the house again {especially one that follows us everywhere} but we're getting used to it and reminding ourselves we're doing a good thing by dog-sitting this crazy cutie!  Cheers to a slow weekend!

Afternoon at the M's

Mom & Dad stayed over after the Steven Martin & Martin Short show so that we could all go to the Mariner game on Sunday as a belated birthday present for Mom.  We got tickets in the Terrace Club {I'm not sure C will ever sit anywhere else now} and while it was HOT in the sun, our tickets were luckily shady by the end of the 1st inning.  We picked a great game to go to, as Big Dumper got not one but TWO home runs, first tying then surpassing the record for most home runs by a catcher in the major leagues.  It was an electric atmosphere in the Park and a great day for an M's win!

Steve Martin & Martin Short {The Dukes of Funnytown}

A while back I saw that Steve Martin & Martin Short were bringing their show, The Dukes of Funnytown, to the Paramount theater and I knew that we had to get tickets.  Since Mom & Dad are huge fans of them too, we decided to make it a double date and a few weekends back we finally headed downtown to see the show.  We've seen a lot of shows this summer but this one is up there with my favorites - the rapport between the two longtime friends and colleagues was just as nutty, chaotic, and endearing as you would imagine and we spent the entire two hours laughing hysterically at the stories and anecdotes the two shared {along with a fabulous band that played midway thru the show}.  It was such a fun and special night getting to see these two comedic legends and I'm so glad we could all enjoy it together!

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals {ZooTunes}

My love of Ben Harper runs deep, so when I saw he was coming to ZooTunes this year I knew we had to get tickets - I'd never been to these summer concerts at the Zoo & C had never seen a Ben show, so it was the perfect excuse!  We went last week on a perfect Seattle summer evening {shout out to concerts that are near home and start at 6:30} and had a great time listening to one of my favorite guys {and he played some old favorites which really brought me back}.  While I prefer concerts at the Chateau where the sound is better and the people are friendlier {the people around us at this concert would not stop talking the entire show, making it impossible to really enjoy the music}, it was fun to try out a new venue where I could introduce Christian to one of my favorite musicians!

unfortunately the 4 people right in our line of sight to the stage were the only ones standing the entire time
