Chinapie
Last night Maddie and I got together for dinner just the two of us since it had been way too long. I was having a problem picking a restaurant to try, and when David and Maddie both suggested Chinapie in Fremont, I figured we had to give it a try. The concept is interesting - dumplings and veggies served alongside pizza with obscure and wild flavors, but somehow it really worked. We tried both kinds of dumplings {$1 each at happy hour}, the romaine salad, and the Neli pizza, which consisted of tikka masala sausage, curry, jalapenos, and goat cheese. It sounds weird, but it was so tasty we ate practically the whole thing. Though the place was empty, the concept is really cool and I would definitely head back to try out more of their unique flavors {the Chowder pizza, with clams, potatoes, and bacon sounds so interesting}. I always love a night out with Mads, and trying new places makes it that much better.
