On one of my days off after our trip to Napa, I decided to go for a drive to Myrtle Edwards Park {and check one more thing off my Summer To Do list}. This waterfront park is just down the road from my house, but for some reason I've never been. On this super smokey and 90+ degree day, the path along this park from Magnolia to downtown was practically empty, so I was able to stroll along checking out the hazy views and trying to find shade anywhere I could. I even stumbled upon a cute little Rose Garden! Though it probably wasn't the ideal day to take in the park, I liked that it was quiet and the views were beautiful, and I could see myself packing a picnic and heading back here for a sunset stroll. Nothing wrong with finding a new pretty spot in the city!
