Sonoma {Day 4}

our last day in Sonoma we didn't have too much of an agenda, so we started out with breakfast at the Garden Court Cafe in Glen Ellen, which was diner food that totally hit the spot.

 we then drove up to the road to the huge estate at Ledson Winery that we had driven past the day before.

 walking up to this place is pretty unbelievable....

 ....and though we didn't do any tastings here, we did wander the grounds and were in awe of the estate.

 i think i could make it my home :)

 next up the highway was St. Francis Winery, which felt like walking into an old mission {but with air conditioning!}.

 we didn't do any tasting here either, but instead decided to explore the exquisite grounds....

 ....and envision having a huge party with these gorgeous views.

 grapes galore!

 isn't it pretty?

 our last stop of the day was Chateau St. Jean just up the road.

 i'd read about this one online and thought it was beautiful....

 ....and since it was our only tasting of the day, we decided to do a reserve tasting in the private and secluded reserve room.

 the place acted a little too fancy for it's own good, especially after some of the amazing places we'd seen before, but they had some pretty delicious wine and we met a lovely couple from Denver who we chatted with the entire time.

 again, i want to live here :)

 after our tasting, it was time to head back to Sacramento to catch our flight home :(

thanks again, mom, for another fabulous mother-daughter trip.  it really was a blast!  and happy birthday to you!!!  where to next?!?! :)

xoxo,
stephanie marie
