My parents wanted to take me out for a birthday dinner, so Friday night we headed to a new to me restaurant, Fiasco, that I keep hearing about and had been wanting to try. We had the sweetest waitress that made it a point to celebrate both mine and mom's bdays and we got there just in time to order some happy hour drinks {aperol spritzes for the girls and local beers for the boys} and some delicious cheesy bread. After our waitress described half the dishes on the menu for indecisive me, I finally settled on the fusilli alla vodka with summer squash and sausage. Everyone kept raving about how good their dinners were, and when mom and I went back and forth about ordering another drink and decided to split another spritz, our waitress sweetly had the bartender make them in two separate smaller glasses and added flowers on the top to make them extra special {it's the little things :)}. Before we left, she brought us two complimentary tiramisu with candles that we all devoured before heading back to my house for more dessert {cheesecake!} that mom and dad had picked up on the way. I love trying new restaurants and celebrating with my family and they helped make my birthday extra special this year :)
