Brunchin' for Baby Bach
Sunday morning the girls got together to celebrate Maddie's upcoming Baby Boy #2 with one of our favorite activities - brunch! We met up at Sawyer in Ballard and spent several hours sharing breakfast dishes, sipping coffee, and catching up on all things babies. I can't believe in less than 30 days this mama is going to have another little one to love, and I can't wait to meet him and snuggle him. Congrats Maddie!!

Wakefield Bar
Before Sunday's game we headed downtown early to grab some brunch. We got off the bus in Belltown and after our first choice was going to have a very long wait, we wandered up the street to Wakefield Bar which had several open booths and a delicious looking menu. We warmed up with some hot coffee and after much debating decided on the BELT {Bacon, Egg, Lettuce, Tomato} sandwich & a Bloody Mary for me and the French Toast & an Irish Coffee for Christian. The portions were huge and the food absolutely delicious and paired with our breakfast cocktails it was the perfect morning activity to get us ready for the long game ahead. I loved this unassuming little spot on 2nd Avenue and will definitely be popping by again when I get a hankering for a gigantic breakfast sandwich :)

Happy Sunshiny Monday
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Besides a quick trip up north to get my hair done, mine was perfectly low key with yummy dinners at home {we even fired up the bbq for the first time this year!}, a brunch date where the experience was meh but the company perfect, and lots of sunny walks with Nina. Though the wind was super brisk, seeing the sunshine and feeling it on my face felt so wonderful that I'm now fully ready for spring. Now, if it'd only warm up about 30 degrees.....

Showering Autumn
Sunday morning we all gathered to celebrate the anticipated arrival of Baby Helling. We met up at Westward for brunch and mimosas to toast Autumn, who I have to say is probably the cutest pregnant lady ever. Unfortunately the above picture is the only one I took all morning {whoops!} but that just means that I had such a great time catching up with the girls {it had been way too long} and toasting the mama-to-be. I can't wait to meet Baby Helling and I know that Autumn & Ryan are going to be the most amazing parents to their new little one. Congrats you guys!

Saturday at the Market
Saturday morning we braved the wind and rain to meet up with the Robinson's for brunch at the market. It has been so long since I've seen this family {including cutest Ryley, above} so we decided on brunch at Honest Biscuit followed by beers next door at Old Stove Brewing. The food was great and the company even better - especially little Annabelle who Christian fell a little bit more in love with every minute {she was the perfect baby all morning, never making a fuss}. After beers, we decided to walk around the market looking at tulips and picking up a few snacks before it was time to part ways for the rest of the day. It was so fun hanging out with Stef and the fam, and I love that no matter how much time passes Ryley and I pick right up where we left off :)

RockCreek
Saturday morning the girls got together for brunch to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby Boy Novak! Maddie smartly suggested RockCreek as the perfect place for us to all get together, and after tasting their delicious food I can understand why. I started the morning off with some hot coffee and an aperol spritz which paired perfectly with the ham scramble with carmelized apples and white cheddar - Yum! However, the most important part was catching up with the ladies and celebrating baby Charlie who will be here in 5 short weeks! I can't wait to meet this sweet baby boy - and I can't wait to go back for brunch again real soon :)

Tenth West
Saturday morning we decided to try out a new to us brunch spot within about a block of Christian's house - Tenth West. This tiny hidden gem is a cozy neighborhood spot only open for breakfast and lunch, and every plate that passed me had me instantly drooling. We both got scrambles and a big french press of coffee, and served with a hearty portion of potatoes and crispy baguette slices, it was the perfect lazy Saturday morning meal. I can't wait to go back and try just about everything on the menu - my new goal is to become a weekend regular :)

Mother's Day Weekend
Happy Mother's Day! I had such a great day hanging out with my mama - we started the morning with a delicious brunch at Frank's Oyster House {so so good} then headed over to UVillage for some shopping and wandering around before heading back home. I love spending time with my mom and when it includes doing some of our favorite things - brunching and shopping - it's even better :) Happy Mother's Day, Mom! I love you!
