Bar Miriam {Easter Evening}

Sunday evening after a long and rainy drive home we felt the need to get out and stretch our legs, so after unpacking the car we decided to go for a walk to Bar Miriam just a few blocks away.  Since it was Easter evening it was super quiet {shocking since this place is always packed} which made it the ideal day to have a yummy cocktail, hide from the rain, and prepare for the week ahead {their menu right now is Wayne's World themed and I got the "What'm I Gonna Do With A Gun Rack" and C got the "Totally Amazing Excellent Discovery" - both delicious}.  One of the things I love about living in the city is having these awesome spots within walking distance and even though we don't take advantage of them as much as we should, I'm glad we decided to be spontaneous and grab some fun cocktails just the two of us to end the weekend :)

Date Night {Shiki & The Sitting Room}

Saturday evening we couldn’t decide what to have for dinner so after a lot of back and forth we landed on Shiki, a Japanese restaurant in lower Queen Anne that we’ve driven by a million times but have never been to. We called about 30 minutes ahead and reserved a table which is recommended since this popular place is pretty tiny. We ordered a bunch of sushi and some Japanese beers and it was the perfect dinner - I can’t believe it’s taken us so long to try this place! On our way back to our car we walked past The Sitting Room and after a very short debate decided to stop in for a cocktail since we were already out and about. The Scuba Steve I ordered was a delicious take on a pineapple margarita and even included a tiny scuba diver frozen into the ice cube - so unique! It was such a fun impromptu date night for the holiday weekend - exactly what we needed :)
