Party Like It's 1989

Last weekend after the Mariner game, Mom and I did a quick change in the car then headed over to the CLink for the Taylor Swift concert.  Concert might be the wrong word - maybe the Taylor Swift Experience?  Either way, it was amazing.  The stadium was packed with tweens and teens and their moms {and a few dads} all decked out in T Swift t-shirts, costumes, and barely there clothing.  The show was spectacular - she sang all her new songs off her album "1989", along with a few old favorites, and every little detail, down to the bracelets each person had that lit up in sync to the music, was immaculately thought out and executed.  And when Russell Wilson & Ciara made a surprise guest appearance, the cheers that erupted were reminiscent of an actual Hawks game.  I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I now have made it a life goal to become friends with Taylor.  She seems like the sweetest, coolest person {and had some great advice on love to give to the crowd} and I'm pretty sure we would hit it off immediately :)  Such an amazing night!

Luke Bryan

A few weeks back, Mom & I went down to Tacoma to see the amazing {and extremely cute} Luke Bryan in concert.  We were pretty far away from the stage {and sitting next to some pretty annoying girls} but as soon as the music started, we jumped out of our seats and danced and sang along to every single song.  I was surprised with all of the songs that he sang {I didn't realize he'd been around for so long!} and found myself smiling when I'd look over and see mom singing along right there with me.  It was such a fun night - there's nothing better than a country concert, right :)

Fremont Fair Solstice Concert {The Physics}

Saturday night, I met up with Nicole and her friends to watch our work buddy Thig perform with his group, The Physics, at the Fremont Fair Solstice Concert Series.  It was such a blast watching Thig in his element - he was a completely different person than the quiet guy we see at work everyday.  We squeezed our way up to the front row for their set, and afterwards hung out in the beer garden with Thig and friends while The Blue Scholars played in the background.  It was such a fun night - and a great way to officially start the summer :)

Carrie Underwood

Saturday night, I took mom to the Carrie Underwood concert as a late birthday present. Our seats were amazing - perfect for looking at Carrie's gorgeous outfits and fabulous shoes.  Wow, that girl is pretty!  She sang all of our favorite songs, and we kept finding ourselves standing up to dance and sing along with the rest of the crowd.  From the costume changes to the stage that raised up and flew across the arena, it was an awesome night spent with my mom and one of my favorite singers :)

Regina Spektor

Last night Erika and I headed over to The Paramount to see one of my favorites, Regina Spektor.  The show was awesome, and to my surprise, she played some of my absolute favorite songs.  Her piano playing is amazing, and she has one of the most unique and beautiful voices I've ever heard.  If you need a little Friday break, here are a few that she played last night that I couldn't stop smiling at :)

Happy Friday!
