Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!  It's sure feeling like fall around here with the crisp air outside and I am not mad about it {ok, maybe it seems a bit early for leaf raking and dark mornings, but I'll deal with it for sweater weather}.  It's supposed to be rainy this weekend which sounds perfect for cozying up for some tv catch-up, work {ew}, and snuggles with my honey.  Cheers to the weekend!

Jack's 2nd Birthday {Part II}

As promised, here are some more pics from Jack's 2nd birthday party!  We had a great time taking birthday selfies, eating pizza and cake, and opening presents - the look on Jack's face when his dad and grandpa brought out the homemade outdoor kitchen was pretty epic!  Such a fun day celebrating this little man!  Happy Birthday Jack - we love you so much!

Jack's 2nd Birthday {Part I}

Last Sunday I headed over the mountains to celebrate Jack's 2nd birthday!  It was a quick roundtrip over but I just had to see my bestest little buddy and celebrate him.  The weather was gorgeous so we were able to spend the day outdoors {Covid-conscious!} and I could tell Jack had the best time having all of his favorite people in one place.  Here are some pics from that fun day, and there will be more tomorrow!

Pizza Night

Christian's newest toy that I’m officially obsessed with is the Ooni Pizza Oven {we even brought it up north to make dinner for the parents a few weeks back}.  This portable, wood-pellet burning stove gets up to 900 degrees F and makes the perfect individual pizzas in just about a minute.  The first time we tried it out a few weeks back we used homemade dough {prepped the night before} and bought some simple, fresh toppings to test it with.  Through some trial and error we ended up with DELICIOUS pizzas that we were both super happy with {and maybe a little surprised about}.  I couldn't believe how quickly they came together and how much tastier they were than the ones we typically make in the oven or grill.  I can't wait to try out new toppings and dough recipes and I have a feeling this thing will be keeping us up on the rooftop well into fall.  Who wants to have a pizza party?!?
