Road Trip {Mazama}

After Winthrop, we continued on our trip through the North Cascades to Mazama where I hadn't been since the wedding but was eager to visit again.  We stopped in at the Mazama Store and while I so wanted to buy just about everything in there {cozy sweatshirts, monogrammed coffee cups, and local wine line the store shelves} I refrained and instead just took in the cuteness of the place.  We went for a little walk around the town so I could show Christian where Shaun & Sara got married at the Ranch House and it was just as beautiful and quaint as I remembered.  We drove through town a bit, checking out the old and new homes and the gorgeous views from the base of the mountains before heading back out of town and making our way west.  It really is the cutest little place that I once again can't wait to go back to.

Road Trip {Winthrop}

After Jack's birthday party we headed out a little early to make our way up to Winthrop while it was still light out.  We made it just in time as the sun was setting, enjoying the beautiful scenery all along the river and through the mountains, and once settled into the Abby Creek Inn we immediately headed "downtown" to grab some food and drinks.  We started out at Old Schoolhouse Brewery for burgers and beers which hit the spot, then headed across the very dark street to the only other place open in town, Copper Glance, where we enjoyed exceptional and innovative cocktails that I can't wait to replicate at home.  The next morning we packed up and headed into town for breakfast burritos and pastries at Rocking Horse Bakery, then wandered around looking into shops and checking out the river before it was time to set off on the rest of our weekend adventure.

Yes!

Last Sunday on a drive across the North Cascades, my partner, my love, and my best friend asked me to marry him and I ecstatically said YES :) We've been on a total high all week, soaking in all the excitement, love, and giddiness, and I cannot wait to continue this amazing adventure with my guy.  I love you Christian!

Jack's 3rd Birthday Party

Last Saturday we headed over the pass for a very special 3rd birthday party.  We were planning on making a weekend out of it so we headed over early to spend some time with the cutest 3 year old since we knew we'd have to leave the party early.  As soon as Christian and I showed up Jack came running outside to throw a water balloon at Christian, then proceeded to take his hand and show him all of the cool things in his sand box.  After taking me on an adventure with the wheelbarrow, it was nap time for the little fella and C and I headed into town to find some lunch at The Huck.  After lunch we headed back to the house for a little Henry time before the birthday boy woke up ready for his party.  He loved showing off his bubble machine to all of his cousins and grandparents and exclaiming "look how many presents!" to the table full of them.  We had to head out before dinner to make it up to Winthrop before sundown but I knew this little bubs was happy as a clam having all of his favorite people in one place.  Happy Birthday Jack - we love you so much!!
