Just Married {Hadley & Luis}

This past weekend we headed out to Ellensburg to celebrate the marriage of Hadley & Luis.  Officially they got married last week in a private elopement but they wanted to celebrate with all of their nearest and dearest a few days after so we happily drove over for a chance to see family and get out of the city.  The reception had so many thoughtful touches, from a "newspaper" celebrating their marriage, little bags of His & Hers favorite candies, photos all over, and touching tributes to loved ones lost.  We had yummy bbq for dinner and Christian and I snuck away to play yard games with the kiddos outside for a bit, and once the dancefloor started getting going we decided it was time to make our exit and enjoy the sunset from our hotel rooftop.  It was a beautiful weekend celebrating these two lovebirds and I'm so happy we were able to be there with them!

Showering Hadley

Sunday afternoon Mom, Mary, and I threw a bridal shower for cousin Hadley at the farm.  Mom & I decorated everything in a cute lemon theme and once everyone arrived we had a very chill shower opening presents and eating yummy desserts.  It was a fun way to celebrate the soon to be Mrs. and I'm glad I got to spend the afternoon with all of the ladies in the family!

4th of July

This year's 4th of July at Samish Island was once again pretty lowkey with a long and fun parade, yummy oyster nachos, too many loud fireworks, great friends, and so much sunshine.  It was fun to watch the kiddos get so excited about the candy at the parade and since we didn't have quite the crowd as we've had in previous years, it was nice to just sit back and relax while soaking up the sun and trying to hide from the loud booms.  It's always fun to spend time at the beach with loved ones and I'm happy we made it up again this year!
