Happy Springy Friday

Happy Friday!  Oh my - is that sunshine outside?!?  It feels like it's been forever since it's actually felt semi warm, but since I've been pretty housebound as of late I decided the sun was begging me to spend the last hour of my workday yesterday on the rooftop.  I'm so excited for temps to almost hit 70 this weekend - time to breakout the bbq and the margaritas!

Arizona {Spring Training}

Lucky for us, our trip to AZ landed right at the start of Spring Training so on Sunday we headed out to Peoria for the Mariner's first home game.  It had been about 15 years since I went to a spring training game and it was just as lowkey and warm as I remembered.  We arrived early so we could walk around and watch the players practice, then headed to our seats right behind home plate {and with all of the prospective players' families} to enjoy the game.  It was so fun to be right there in the action {and eavesdrop on all of the girlfriend and wife gossip} and I'm pretty sure I really confused Rick Rizzs when I kept waving at him and he'd wave back like he should know me:)  It was the perfect way to spend a day in the sunshine and got me excited for a win-filled season ahead!

Arizona {Part III}

With the sun shining in Surprise after we got back from Scottsdale we decided to make some to-go cocktails and explore the neighborhood in the golf cart.  We got to see just how big the community is while admiring the hot air balloons in the distance, and on our way back to the house we picked up dinner from the food truck at the clubhouse to bring home and eat at the fire table.  The next morning {Saturday} we went for another ride in the golf cart, checking out open houses and picking up free citrus from the neighbors {one of my favorite parts of desert living!}.  That evening we invited over friends and family and Christian cooked his famous flank steak and onions while everyone else contributed to a delicious homecooked meal.  It was such a fun way to spend time with all of our favorite Arizona residents!
