After we arrived back in Sweden from our trip to Germany, we were excited to stay put for the next week. We were staying at Christian's Aunt & Uncle's old lake house that they graciously let us live in for the week and it was absolutely perfect. We woke up Monday morning to the sun shining and a mama duck and her 5 baby ducklings walking up from the water to greet us {they were not shy at all}. We met Christian's parents in the town of Ljungby to stock up on groceries and run a few errands, then spent the afternoon at the family farm in Lagan getting C's old Audi up and running and having a yummy lunch of pickled herring {not bad at all!}, new potatoes, and fresh strawberries. By the time we got back to the lake house we were ready to fix a few cocktails and head down to the water where Christian bravely jumped in the freezing cold lake and I watched in my cozy red robe :) It was a great first day getting acclimated to Sweden and it made me so happy that we still had so much time ahead of us to explore.
