Remembering Rome

I cannot believe it has been one year since we were in Rome - where has the time gone??  I miss the afternoon spritzes, fresh pasta, and exploring the city with this handsome guy.  Guess we'll just have to go back!

Have a great weekend!

Yoga & Dine

Last week I headed over to West Seattle for a Yoga & Dine series at my old yoga teacher's home.  It was the most gorgeous evening overlooking the water where 5 of us were led in an outside yin yoga practice complete with tea, cozy blankets and pillows, and lots of sunshine.  After the hour long practice we headed inside for a delicious and nourishing homemade meal {and mocktails} that was seasonal, fresh, and oh so delicious.  It was such a cleansing and restorative evening that I absolutely cannot wait to do again!

Go Hawks!

Sunday morning Kelsey and I headed down to the stadium for our annual Hawks game.  We got there a little early and chilled at Hatback outside then headed into Lumen for what was to be a beatdown of the Miami Dolphins.  The Hawks started out great and never looked back {the kind of game I prefer over the nail-biters they usually are}, and it was a gorgeous September day to be out watching football.  Thanks for joining me, Kels - I love this tradition of ours!

Lioness

Last week Erika took me out for a belated bday dinner and after looking up a variety of options I settled on Lioness, a newish spot near her house that I've been wanting to try.  The actual restaurant is tiny but it has a large covered patio with heaters so we opted to sit outside as to not be sharing a table with other people.  We had a lovely time catching up over yummy drinks and really good food {the cavatelli with sungold tomato pesto was especially delish} and per usual we closed the place down {we had a lot to catch up on!}.  It was a fun night with one of my faves - I love this tradition of ours!

Happy {Fall} Friday

Happy Friday, and happy officially fall this weekend!  We've really been lucking out with some gorgeous weather here and I'm really hoping it sticks around for awhile - the crisp mornings and sunny afternoons are definitely my jam.  Cheers to the weekend!

A Night at the Mariners

Last week C and I took advantage of some tickets mom & dad couldn't use and headed down for an evening watching the Mariners.  It ended up being a gorgeous day with the sun shining and we didn't even need our sweatshirts until halfway through the game - a perfect September evening.  We arrived at the park a little early to grab some burgers for dinner and walk around the stadium, and since it was Bark at the Park night we got to watch countless cute dogs on the big screen throughout the game.  Unfortunately the M's couldn't hold on for a win, but we had a good time with an exciting game until the very end and a smaller crowd for a weeknight so we didn't feel too crammed in.  Despite the loss, it was a great night!

Jack's 5th Birthday Party

Last weekend I met the parents and we headed out east to spend the day celebrating Jack's bday.  We were a little early so caught the end of the Seahawks opener in the garage with the dogs while the kiddos napped, then once they awoke it was play time!  We spent the afternoon roaming the gardens and setting up and once the rest of the family arrived the cousins had the best time hitting the piñata, opening presents, and eating some yummy chocolate cake.  I'm so glad I got to celebrate this kiddo's 5th birthday with him - we love you Jack!
