Merry Christmas!! I hope wherever you are you’re spending time with those you love and doing things that bring you joy. In our family the celebrations have already started and it really is so special to spend the holidays with loved ones, especially the little ones who find so much happiness in the little things. They’re the best :)

Christmas Downtown

Since Sunday was such a gorgeous day we decided to head down to the stadium early and get off the bus at the Market to take in all the Christmas decor.  I love seeing downtown all lit up with trees and lights and we even ran into the Grinch driving his lime green car down 1st Ave!  Even Pioneer Square was lit up with lights and a free ice skating rink and I loved seeing everyone downtown reveling in the Christmas spirit.

The Sitting Room {Christmas Bar}

One thing on my Christmas to do list from last year that we never got around to was going to a Christmas themed bar in the city so when we saw that one of our local faves, The Sitting Room, was once again doing a Home Alone themed menu and decor I knew we had to make a date night out of it. Last Friday we arrived right after 5 and were instantly transported to one of the best Christmas movies. All of the cocktails were Home Alone inspired and the decor throughout the entire bar was impressive, from the Kenosha Kickers record to the vintage Playboy and mini sport figurines. We had a great time drinking festive cocktails and having yummy crunchywraps for dinner and were grateful we got there early {by the time we left there was a giant waitlist in the pouring rain outside}. If you get a chance definitely head out to a Christmas bar this holiday season - it really put us in a festive spirit!

Sunday Night Football

Ugh - it's hard to talk about the Hawks game Sunday Night {how are we so bad at home this year??} but I'll focus on the positives - it was an absolute perfect weather day for December {sunny skies and no rain in sight}, I convinced my honey to be my date to the game, they had warm mulled wine at the concession stands, and there was a pretty awesome drone show at halftime chronicling the life of the 12's and the Hawks over the past 40+ years.  Though the game didn't go the way we had hoped, we still had a great time getting out and spending an evening at the stadium. Go Hawks!
