Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy Birthday to me!! I'm officially into my 40's and though this past year was rough {to say the least}, I'm hoping, wishing, praying that 41 is the year things turn around.  I'm excited to spend the day relaxing and doing things I love, hoping to bring that energy into this next year.  Cheers to looking forward and to new adventures ahead!

An Afternoon in Wenatchee

As I hinted at earlier this week, we stopped in Wenatchee on our way home from Ellensburg to say hi to the brother and his family for his birthday.  We spent the day picking all the goodies from their garden, watching Jack ride his bike, watching Lily eat tomatoes, and picking out our favorite of Henry's drawings.  It was such a fun afternoon spending time with the kiddos {and their parents} and I'm so glad we took a detour to say hi!

Just Married {Hadley & Luis}

This past weekend we headed out to Ellensburg to celebrate the marriage of Hadley & Luis.  Officially they got married last week in a private elopement but they wanted to celebrate with all of their nearest and dearest a few days after so we happily drove over for a chance to see family and get out of the city.  The reception had so many thoughtful touches, from a "newspaper" celebrating their marriage, little bags of His & Hers favorite candies, photos all over, and touching tributes to loved ones lost.  We had yummy bbq for dinner and Christian and I snuck away to play yard games with the kiddos outside for a bit, and once the dancefloor started getting going we decided it was time to make our exit and enjoy the sunset from our hotel rooftop.  It was a beautiful weekend celebrating these two lovebirds and I'm so happy we were able to be there with them!

Happy Birthday Brother!

Happy Birthday {yesterday} to this guy who has the coolest kiddos, great taste in footwear, and an overflowing vegetable garden that he let us steal from yesterday. Bro - I’m so glad we got to briefly celebrate you on your day. Thanks for the laughs and all the veggie goodies to take home. I love ya!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!  We're getting out of town this weekend for a family wedding and I'm excited for a little road trip and the chance to connect with everyone.  Can you believe it's already the end of July - where has this summer gone?!?!  Let's enjoy it while we can, eh?  Have a great one!

July Date Night {Part II - Seinfeld at The Paramount}

The main reason for our date night on Saturday was to go see the one and only Jerry Seinfeld at The Paramount.  After a yummy dinner at Stateside we headed down to the theater where we were entertained with not 1 but 2 opening acts before seeing the man himself.  I was blown away by the energy and enthusiasm of Seinfeld - to be honest, he's achieved pretty much everything in his field and could easily give a mediocre performance but he was running around the stage like a little kid for over an hour entertaining us with thoughts on everything from cell phone addiction, parenting techniques, and vacation mishaps.  It was a really fun show that had us laughing all night long {just like the tv show from the 90's still does every night during dinner at our house} and I'm so glad we got to see one of the legends perform live.  Classic :)
