Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!  It's been a WEEK at work and I'm so excited for no plans this weekend other than watching some movies, doing taxes {yuck}, wedding planning, and maybe seeing some snow?!?  Though since next week is already March, I'm pretty ready for springtime over here!  And with that I'll leave you with this pic of me and Penny just chilling last weekend - isn't she the cutest?! :)

4th of July {part 2}

After the parade, we spent most of the afternoon eating, drinking, and alternating between sweatshirts and tank tops since the weather could not decide what it wanted to do.  We took our obligatory pictures {girls + babies on the bulkhead, everyone on the beach} and even convinced dad to make a second round of oyster nachos for those that missed round 1.  As afternoon turned to evening, Christian and I decided to head back to the city to check on Nina, but as we were arriving on Queen Anne right as the sky was darkening, we took a detour and followed the hoards of people heading to the top of the hill to watch the Lake Union fireworks {we had no idea where we were going but ended up in a group of probably thousands where the streets were closed for the festivities}.  It was such a fun day with some of my most favorite people and I can't wait to do it again next year!

4th of July {part 1}

On July 4th we woke up bright and early to get to my most favorite event of the year - 4th of July at Samish Island.  After a quick pit stop at Mom & Dad's house, we headed out to Christian's first ever trip to the island where we were greeted by a crisp breeze and the sunshine trying to poke through.  As the morning progressed, more and more friends stopped by for fun, oysters, and of course, the parade.  This year we had both the Welty crew in their Bronco & Ryley on his bike participating in the parade, making it so much more fun to watch with our friends riding along {although I did miss the play by play commentary with Kami :)}.  By the time Ryley got back to our house on the parade route he decided he was done {I mean, what fun is riding in the parade when you can sit and get candy thrown at you instead?!?} and one of my most favorite parts of the day was Linnea teaching Ryley how to hold out his hands so he could get the most candy :)  It was such a fun morning, and I know Christian loved his first ever Samish Island parade.  There really is nothing else like it.

Happy Birthday Stefanie

Happy birthday to one of my favorite dancing partners!  I had to dig way back in the archives for this one {and go down a Facebook rabbit hole} but it was worth it to find one of my favorite pictures of us that really captures, well, us.  I hope you have the most fabulous birthday with your sweet family, and I'm pretty sure it's about time we get back out on that dance floor and throw our hands up in the air, eh?  Love ya Stef!

Saturday at the Market

Saturday morning we braved the wind and rain to meet up with the Robinson's for brunch at the market.  It has been so long since I've seen this family {including cutest Ryley, above} so we decided on brunch at Honest Biscuit followed by beers next door at Old Stove Brewing.  The food was great and the company even better - especially little Annabelle who Christian fell a little bit more in love with every minute {she was the perfect baby all morning, never making a fuss}.  After beers, we decided to walk around the market looking at tulips and picking up a few snacks before it was time to part ways for the rest of the day.  It was so fun hanging out with Stef and the fam, and I love that no matter how much time passes Ryley and I pick right up where we left off :)

Selfies with Ryley

Some pics to make you smile, because how could you not looking at this little guy's face?!?!  I tried to distract him from tackling me with selfies when I went to visit his baby sister a few weeks ago, and the faces he made were priceless.  You're the best, Ryley :)

Happy Friday!

{Introducing} Annabelle Kay

Last night I got to meet 6 day old Annabelle Kay, the newest addition to the Robinson family.  I forget how teeny tiny these little ones are, and to snuggle this sweet, calm baby girl was the absolute best.  She looks exactly like Ryley did when he was a baby, and from our chats in between tackling and wrestling, I'm pretty sure he's going to be an amazing big brother to "his baby" :)  Stef and Eric - congrats on this perfect little pumpkin - I love her so much already!  Welcome to the world, sweet Baby Anna!
