Before the Billy Joel concert a few weeks back we headed downtown early to grab dinner before the show. After wandering around Pioneer Square a bit we came across
Darkalino's, a new to us Italian spot that had a good looking menu and an open table. We had yummy cocktails and then split the meatball sandwich on homemade focaccia and the rigatoni with ragu. Both hit the spot and while the restaurant was loud and the service a little slow, we were super happy we were able to snag a table when we did as the line to get in kept getting longer and longer as we enjoyed our meal. Afterwards we had a bit of time to kill so we headed across the courtyard to
Locus Wines for a glass of wine before the show and were treated to tasty drinks and a much quieter atmosphere. All in all, a great way to start our date night!
