Chocolate chip cookies can instantly brighten even the bleakest of days. And everyone has their very favorite tried and true recipe. Mine, naturally, comes from my mother. And ironically, it's also on the back of the Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip bag. I made a batch this weekend and though they're not quite as good as mom's (hers are the perfect amount of fluffy and crunchy), they were just what I needed to brighten up a rainy December afternoon. It is, after all, the beginning of cookie season :)
