Slumber Party

This past weekend I got together with some of my favorite people on the planet to celebrate, well, basically everything - brides, babies, being back in the country, etc.  It has been almost 7 months since we all got together at the condo in April and since so much has happened in those months we all wanted to get together to celebrate it all.  The girls totally surprised me with a cake, balloons, and fun treats to celebrate our engagement and we spent well into the wee hours of the night just talking and laughing like we always do.  I don't know when we'll get to do this again {bachelorette?} but I treasure my time with these ladies more than I can say and am grateful every day to have them in my life.  Also, the photoshoots...... :) Enjoy!!

Revel {Engagement Dinner with the Girls}

Last week these 3 wonderful ladies {Erika. Maddie, & Autumn} took me out to dinner at Revel, one of our old faves, to celebrate my engagement.  They made me feel so special, bringing wedding magazines, flowers, and a giant ring balloon and helped plan and talk about the upcoming wedding {and bachelorette party} for hours.  I've so missed hanging out with these women and am excited for any excuse to connect with them and laugh over great food and drinks.  Thanks again ladies - such a fun night!

Engagement Dinner {Ray's Cafe}

A few weekends ago Mom & Dad came down to take us out to dinner and celebrate our engagement.  Since it was unseasonably warm {70's in October??} we decided to take advantage of the nice evening and go to one of our faves, Ray's Cafe.  The wait to sit on their outside patio was long {apparently everyone had this idea, including Joe Manganiello below}, but since the weather was nice we didn't mind spending the wait outside soaking up some fall sun.  We finally got seated just as the sun was setting and after ordering some drinks and delicious food, we were able to enjoy the evening surrounded by portable heaters and the most gorgeous sunset over the water.  It was a wonderful evening celebrating a very special time with the people I love :)

Engagement {Family, Bubbles & Blackberry Picking}

As luck would have it, we were driving right through Burlington after our road trip and engagement in the North Cascades, so I surprised the fam by offering to bring them dinner, citing being exhausted and hungry from driving all day.  We picked up dinner in town and brought it out to the farm where we shared the exciting news and toasted with everyone, including my bro who was randomly also home.  It was so special to be able to share the news with my family after spending hours enjoying it ourselves, and the surprise on their faces when they finally noticed my ring was absolutely perfect.  After Shaun left, we hopped in the bed of the pick-up and headed out to the field for blackberry picking where we loaded up bag after bag of fresh, juicy berries.  After we made it home {driving through a gorgeous sunset} we toasted once again with glasses of bubbles and huge smiles on our faces.  It was the perfect end to the most perfect day :)

Road Trip {North Cascades}

After our engagement, we continued our giddy journey across the North Cascades Highway stopping at different sites along the way to check out the {unfortunately} smoky views.  We stopped at the viewpoint for Ross Lake, where the wind was whipping and the smoke was really intense, then continued on towards Diablo Dam where we drove across the dam {I didn't even know you could do that} to the other side and checked out the beach and learning center.  We were both so smiley and happy from the events a few hours before and it was so fun to visit these gorgeous and quiet places knowing that they now mean so much to us as they were a part of this super special day :)
