Two

I can’t believe it’s been TWO whole years since my most favorite day ever, the day I said “I Do” to this handsome fella. I love looking at our pictures and reminiscing about the day - I wish I could live it over and over again, being with so many people we love and the pure happiness that filled the entire weekend. So much has changed in these past two years, but one thing that remains is that I’m still so lucky I married my best friend - through all of life’s ups and downs there’s no one else I’d rather have by my side than this guy. Cheers to two down and a lifetime to go!

Playing Games

Sometimes when I'm bored I look through the photos on my phone and search "one year ago" to remind myself what I was up to this time last year.  My phone recently reminded me that one year ago, I got the best package in the mail from The New York Times celebrating my first time getting Wordle in 1 guess on our wedding day.  The people at NYT games were so sweet when I emailed them our story and sent us this fun package of hats, a tote, and water bottles to commemorate the day.  It was a cute gesture and every time I carry that tote I'm reminded of the morning of our best day ever :)  Happy Friday - don't forget to do your Wordle!

Happy Birthday Jack!

Happy Birthday to this awesome FIVE year old!!  Jack, you are the sweetest big brother, bestest soccer player, an amazing tractor driver, and a killer ring bearer.  I love watching you grow from afar and I cannot wait to see you soon and give you all the birthday hugs.  Auntie Tephie loves you so much, buddy - have the BEST birthday!!

Anniversary Dinner {Delancey}

For our anniversary on Sunday we decided to keep it low key and head to dinner at one of our favorite places, Delancey {and I celebrated by wearing my wedding shoes which I still absolutely love}. Of course there was a wait so we grabbed some cocktails next door at Essex and sipped them outside while we waited. Dinner was excellent as always and we got to have my favorite peak summer tomato salad with feta alongside the white pie and the sausage with a seasonal topping of Walla Walla sweet onions - delicious! Afterwards we headed home to crack open a bottle of bubbles from my bachelorette trip last year and toast a crazy year together. Man I love this guy :)

Happy Birthday {tomorrow} little brother!  While our communication these days is mostly Instagram memes about being a sibling or a millennial {which are all eerily accurate}, I'm so grateful for our quick driving chats, puppy pictures, and especially for having you by my side as the best maid man of honor ever.  Cheers to you kid - hope you have the best day with your little crew!

Our Wedding {Family Day}

We stayed one more night in La Conner then decided to take our families out for lunch up in Bellingham on Sunday before saying goodbye to the valley and all of the wedding festivities.  It started getting really warm & smoky {so thankful the weather for the wedding was so perfectly PNW}, so after wandering around La Conner we headed to my parent's house where we split into two cars and drove up to Bellingham for a nice quiet lunch at Anthony's Hearthfire where we could admire the view of the water from the air conditioned dining room.  After lunch it was time to pack up our cars with all of the incredibly generous gifts and leftover food and decor and head back to the city.  It was the most wonderful weekend with the best family and friends and even though we were so sad it was over, I am so incredibly grateful that we were able to make this amazing weekend happen.  It's one I won't soon forget!

Our Wedding {Saturday Brunch}

Since our wedding was on a Friday, I wanted to do something on Saturday so we could hang out with guests a little longer before everyone had to head out of town.  Even though they had already done so much, Mom & Dad agreed to host a brunch for whoever could make it, setting out a gorgeous spread of food and mimosas and entertainment for the kiddos.  I didn't get a ton of pics, but it was so fun to get to actually sit down and chat with people that had come from so far away to celebrate with us, and it was one of the things that I'm so thankful we did that weekend.  After everyone left, we all rested a bit then had leftover wedding dinner with our families which was just as good as the day before.  It was a great way to spend more time with our families and let the celebration last just a little while longer!

Our Wedding {Dancing}

One of my main requirements for our wedding was a big dance party, and man - it did not disappoint.  As soon as we were done with our sunset photos I headed straight to the dance floor with my besties and danced the night away to one of the best playlists I've ever put together.  We danced and sang our hearts out and it was the perfect ending to the most wonderful day.  Here are a few {a lot} of my faves from that night - thanks to my amazing friends for making my wedding dancing dreams come true and for taking these amazing pics!
