Shaun & Sara {Reception}

After the gorgeous wedding, we got down to the serious business - the party.  The weather was absolutely perfect for the reception - no need for a jacket until the sun went down - and the food was one of the best meals I've had in a long time.  It was so fun to catch up with all of the family and family friends that were there to share the special day - some I hadn't seen in so many years but have been huge parts of my life since I was little.  The speeches were perfect {definitely the best best man speech I've heard} and with a little help from our suggestions, the dj got the dance party going to everyone's satisfaction {Regulators was top in my opinion}.  At the end of the night, we all gathered around the campfire in front of our rooms to chat and have a few more drinks, and in the morning we all came back together for some breakfast snacks in the lawn before having to head home.  It really was such a magical weekend and even though I'm sad it's over, I'm so happy everything went smoothly and now our family is even bigger.  Shaun & Sara - I love you guys!  Congrats!

Shaun & Sara {Gettin' Married}

Shaun & Sara's wedding was absolutely breathtaking.  The Mazama Ranch House offered the perfect place to take pictures - the barn was festive, the mountains didn't even look real, and everywhere you looked were open fields making for a gorgeous backdrop.  I can't wait to see the professional photos taken by my dear friend, but until then here are a few snaps I took while we were getting ready and looking our best :)

Shaun & Sara {Wedding Day Prep & Details}

Saturday morning we woke up to the most gorgeous day any of us could've hoped for.  I was awake before practically anyone, so I sat out on our cute patios sipping my coffee and anxiously awaiting the day's festivities.  Once everyone got up and going {it took a lot for the boys after the late night before} we started off on each of our tasks, mine being helping set up the seating and the pergola in the field, along with the beautiful signs Autumn had made for the event.  You forget all the little details that go into the big day, but the little touches make it that much more special when they're all put together :)

Shaun & Sara {Rehearsal}

I still can't believe that the wedding weekend for Shaun & Sara has already come and gone.  We all had such a great time in Mazama for the long weekend celebrating these two - it truly is a magical place.  We arrived in Mazama on Friday afternoon with lots to be done before the ceremony on Saturday.  We spent the afternoon and evening setting things up {including the beautiful arch my dad made for them} before we had a quick rehearsal in the field.  Afterwards, we all headed to the Freestone Inn where Mom & Dad threw a beautiful outdoor rehearsal dinner {we seriously lucked out with the weather this weekend!} complete with prime rib, cheesecake, and a heartfelt speech from my dad.  After dinner, we headed back to the Ranch House where we gathered around the fire for s'mores and Busch Light {the theme of the wedding weekend, apparently} and lots of laughs.  Such a great way to start the weekend!

Gettin' Hitched {Shaun & Sara}

I can't believe the day has finally arrived, but tomorrow my little brother is getting married.  I can't really put into words all of the emotions I'm feeling, but I can say that I feel so genuinely happy for him and Sara and blessed to be a part of their special day.  This little boy has been my best friend for the past 30 years, and I'm so grateful for the countless hours we've spent laughing, crying, talking, goofing around, fighting, and loving each other.  There's no one better than this guy, and Sara is so lucky to have him.  Lots of love to you two on your incredibly special day, and no matter what Shaunie, you'll always be my baby brother.  I love you!
