Seahawks!

The Seahawks are doing so amazing, right?!?!  I knew they'd pull through!  Right after Christmas, my brother and I headed down to the Clink to watch the boys in action {thanks for the tix, Leslie!} {and Mom & Dad for paying!}.  I haven't taken my bro to a game in years {well before this recent Superbowl streak} and it was so much fun to share the day with him.  After meeting up with Nicole and Dan for some pre-game drinks, we met cousins DJ and Lisa for a beer in the stadium before kickoff.  While the game was less than stellar {ugh - the Rams!!!} and it rained most the game, we had a pretty awesome time losing our voices while cheering for our Hawks.  These games never get old, and I'm so happy I got to experience it with the bro.

Christmas Day

We woke up bright and early on Christmas Day {that's a lie - it was too early to be bright out} and though a few of us were really feeling some stiffness and pain, we rallied through for an awesome holiday.  We spent the morning as we always do, drinking coffee, watching the sun rise, and opening presents - if the pictures below say anything, it was a very generous year!  We headed over to grandma and grandpa's later in the morning for brunch and more family time then headed home for some naps and movies before friends and family came over for Mom's delicious Christmas dinner.  It was a great day with the fam, and I'm so happy that we get to celebrate together.  Love you guys!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve this year started out eventful {unfortunately} when dad and I got rear-ended {hard!} by a drunk driver.  Merry Christmas, right?  Luckily we {and the car} were for the most part alright, and we did our Christmas deed by putting a criminal behind bars {yay us}, so we spent the evening with a quick stop at Marsha's, then a relaxing evening at mom and dad's with our traditional Christmas Eve lasagna.  We couldn't quite get Christmas Vacation to rent on the upstairs tv, so instead we brought up the VCR to watch the movie on VHS {since we long ago lost the DVD}.  We made it work, and finished up the evening with lots of laughs around the tree before heading to bed to wait for Santa :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, friends!  I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited to say goodbye to 2015 and start fresh in 2016.  As is customary with the new year, I have a few resolutions/goals/things I'd like to do this year to make myself happy and healthy!  They include print more pictures; read before bed; go on adventures; cook for friends; do more yoga; snack less; and take weekend walks.  Sounds simple enough, right?  I hope you have a safe and happy new year - I'll be out and about, eating, drinking, and dancing the year away! :)

Go Rams!

Sorry for the silence!  I was enjoying a nice week off of work, and extending a bit into this week as well :)  But I had to give a quick shout out to my Rams who came oh so close to a bowl win last night!  I wore my CSU shirt to work yesterday {and got a lot of questions about it} and even came home a bit early to catch the game streaming online {no, it was not on tv like every other bowl game.....}, but despite a valiant effort in the last minute of the game, they fell short to Nevada.  Those boys played so good, and I vow to make it to another game in Fort Collins next season to enjoy one last game at Hughes Stadium before the new on-campus stadium is complete.  College reunion time!

Happy BIrthday Kami!!

Happy Birthday to one of my dearest friends from way back {we used to carpool to dance class back in elementary school!!}.  I love this lady and her sweet family, and though I don't see her as often as I'd like, I love when her gorgeous photographs pop up on my Instagram feed - and especially when the pics are of her, taken by our amazingly talented friend Jenn.  Have the happiest of birthdays, Kami - can't wait to see you soon!!
