Sitka & Spruce

Friday evening, Maddie invited me to be her VIP guest at the opening of the new ACDC exhibit at the EMP.  She met me on Capitol Hill for dinner beforehand and after walking around for a few minutes trying to find a dinner spot that didn't have a wait, we stumbled upon Sitka & Spruce in the Melrose Market, somewhere I had been dying to try for awhile.  We were seated at the window next to 2 lovely older gentlemen (Bob & Bill) whom we shared glasses of wine with and talked about everything from favorite restaurants in Seattle to European travel.  While the food was incredibly tasty and impressive, the most fun was talking to Bob & Bill and hearing their stories of a decades-long friendship.  And the greatest compliment?  They told us that we were very special and unique girls because of all of the fun things we do at our young age.  Makes me hope that 30 or 40 years from now, I'm doing the same things with my same fabulous friends :)
