The past few anniversaries we've gone back to our first date spot, The Whale Wins, but since the restaurant has now changed to a more grocery/takeout option we decided to branch out and try something new {plus, it was almost 100 degrees so sitting outside for dinner did not sound ideal}. We had a few gift cards to Monsoon {which if you know me, you know is my favorite} so we placed a big to-go order for dinner and headed up to the Hill to pick it up. When we got home we quickly served ourselves to make sure the dinner didn't get cold and popped open a bottle of bubbly David had graciously given me for my birthday {it was delish}. The food was perfect and though we thought we ordered enough for leftovers, all that remained were a few spicy green beans and some raw cucumbers - whoops! I guess you could say dinner was a success. We accompanied it by watching several episodes of our newest obsession, Yellowstone, then once the sun went down we took our cocktails up to the rooftop to watch the gorgeous sunset with lightning on the horizon, recounting our favorite moments of the past year and plans for what comes next. It was a wonderful evening with my sweetie and I couldn't have asked for anything more :)
