Our second full day in Milan, after resting up and not feeling the jet lag too badly, C and I decided to brave the terrible air quality and head to the City Center to see the sights. We headed straight to the Duomo with all the crowds, taking in the splendor and scale of the iconic cathedral, then met up with his family for lunch right next to it at the Galleria, which houses all the fancy shops. After lunch we decided to walk back to the apartment {while the rest took the metro}, stopping at some shops along the way and experiencing the streets of Milan as the sun came out. For dinner everyone did their own thing, so C and I headed back down to Navigli where we found Osteria Da Fortunata, which is a place we had seen in Rome and had pasta that definitely hit the spot. We finally made our way back to our Airbnb, wandering along the canals at night and enjoying the bustling streets full of people young and old.
