My first full day in Sweden I woke up to a winter wonderland with one goal in mind - find our Christmas tree. Christian had been waiting to get a tree until I got there, so after a slow morning in the house we bundled up in our warmest clothes and headed out into his family's forest out back to find the perfect tree. We made a giant loop around the giant property, taking in the beauty and the quiet of the place while we considered many a tree to bring home. After we found the perfect one we headed back to the barn for a saw, and after cutting down the tree we carried it back to the house {luckily, it wasn't too far out} where we were greeted by his parents who were very impressed with our choice. The tree fit perfectly in the living room and with a few lights and ornaments was the perfect little piece of Christmas to make the house feel festive.
