When faced with the important decision of where to go for happy hour recently, Erika and I named bar after bar, but none sounded very exciting.  That is, until she mentioned Oliver's Twist, one of my most favorite bars in Seattle.  Done and done.  My favorite dish there is the tomato cappuccino with grilled cheese sandwich.  The tomato soup is steamed in an espresso maker so it's foamy and creamy and utterly delicious.  I've also grown quite fond of their brussels sprouts with bacon, maple-bourbon butter, and fig vinegar that taste more like a dessert than an appetizer.  The vibe is mellow and the lighting low, making it the perfect place to cozy up on a cold January night with a good friend and a cup of tomato soup.  Perfection.
